Crunchy Asian Salad
This sweet and tangy Asian-style salad gets its crunch from ramen noodles. You can also add other ingredients such as chicken and broccoli, raisins, celery, snap peas, or whatever vegetables you would like. You can even make it into a wrap or even fry it as a chinese entree.
Prep time:
Total time:
Ingredients
  • 1 envelope (0.7 oz) GOOD SEASONS Italian Dressing Mix [I couldn't find, so found Italian Mix to use that works at Aldi's]
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 TBSP Soy Sauce
  • 2 pkg (3 oz each) ramen noodle soup mix
  • 2 pkg (16 oz each) coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw blend)
  • 4 Green Onions, sliced
  • ½ cup Planters Dry Roasted Sunflower Kernels
  • ½ cup Planters Sliced Almonds, toasted
Instructions
  1. Prepare: Dressing Mix in a small mixing bowl as directed on envelope. Stir in sugar and soy sauce.
  2. Break: Apart Noodles; place in large bowl. Discard Seasoning Packets or reserve for another use. Add Coleslaw blend, onions, sunflower kernels and nuts to noodles; mix lightly.
  3. Add: dressing; toss to coat.
Notes
Great Tip: You can also substitute by trying out other dressings such as Asian Sesame Dressing Mix. This recipe is also great to make ahead. Hope you Enjoy it, just like our family did.
